Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 159: Increase the Collection

Linfel pointed to the exit. "You guys can leave now. Thank you for the explanation regarding the commerce of cards, though."

Ruffus and the others didn't expect such an answer. "You are kidding, right? I'll be straight with you. These cards will only bring you trouble in the future. There will be plenty of Maguses and Familiars at Level Four and Five coming after you because of them."

"That's for sure!" Linfel agreed with him. "However, I'm not an idiot. I checked the information regarding the cards in the Ventis Sect System. It is indeed possible to rob them, but you must have your own cards with you during that moment. Cards have their own ownership, after all. I'm looking forward to gaining a few more cards when your friends come to pay us a visit."

Alvin's group felt like crying. They could tell Linfel was dead set on incurring the wrath of all these experts. "Linfel... isn't it better to consider it a little first? We can try to find more of those dungeons or other methods to get more cards later."

Ruffus glanced at Alvin and nodded, satisfied. "You should listen to your master. You can prevent meaningless danger right here and right now. That is definitely the best outcome for your future."

Linfel opened their house's door. "Not interest. Shoo, shoo! You are wasting my time. Make sure you call everyone interested in our cards as well. Next time I leave the city, I want at least ten of some card owners after me."

Java, Ruffus, and the other experts were enraged by how Linfel treated them. However, no one could cause trouble inside the cities, so they could only follow the orders. Otherwise, Linfel could even flag them for trespassing.

With those guys gone, Linfel closed the door and returned to the living room, just to see Milia and the others looking at him with weird expressions. "Linfel. We don't think that was a good idea at all. We won't be able to step out of the city for a long time now."

Linfel shrugged, not feeling the tension like the others. "You are overthinking it. I doubt more than four or five guys will appear next time we leave for missions, contracts, or training. Didn't you see the order they took just to talk to us? With such a big target on our backs, that also means more danger for anyone following us. Don't worry.

We can deal with it. If not, we can just throw our cards away and flee. At that moment, those who came after us would definitely ignore everything and go after the cards."

They looked at Linfel, wondering if things would turn out that well. Unfortunately, Linfel already gave his final word to those experts. Unless they go out now and try to mend things, there is no way back. Linfel obviously wouldn't let them do such a thing, though. He was confident they could deal with the danger. If anything, Linfel welcomed the danger instead.

"Alright, they didn't eat all the snacks, so make sure you finish them. After that, we will head to the Ventis Sect Building, where you took the magic Control test," Linfel spoke.

"We will?" They found it strange. "But the next test is still far away."

"They are," Linfel smiled in response. "However, I work as one of the supervisors of the test, you know? I have some special privileges, and that includes access to the equipment used for the many types of tests. It will be nice to check how far you have gone with your Magic Control."

No one had any complaints about that plan. Milia, Zandel, and Alvin quickly finish the food, although not everything. Zandel stored what they couldn't finish for later. Finally, they followed Linfel out and went back to the Ventis Sect Building.

Meanwhile, the news about Linfel's group rejecting the deals spread fast among Card Owners. Above all, the fact that only one member of their group was Level Four made them look like an easy target, which excited those interested.

For the next weeks, there were Maguses and Familiars keeping an eye on Linfel's house and friends. Everywhere they went, someone followed behind. They didn't even try to hide it since there were quite a few.

That obviously bothered Milia and the others, but there was no rule regarding such things. As long as they didn't invade the house or other private areas or cause trouble, those stalkers could follow anyone they wanted.

There was still a month for the next Magic Energy Control test, and Linfel worked with everyone to improve their abilities. Thanks to all the dangers in the previous Dungeon, there was much to be revised, and the Ventis Sect Building equipment was great for it.

Without any surprises, Zandel, Kefin, Milia, and Nori were the ones who had the greatest improvement. After all, they had never followed Linfel's instructions before. Alvin also improved, although not as much since it gets harder, the better it becomes. Nonetheless, Linfel recognized Alvin probably would achieve at least 1400, 50 points higher than he did during the previous test.

Of course, Alvin has already passed the test. The only reason he isn't leveling up is because Linfel prohibited him from doing so.

Coming out of the Ventis Sect Testing Building, Linfel felt satisfied with everyone's progress, including his own. He also put himself to the test during these weeks and was happy that he was managing to merge the Soul Power and Magic Energy together in his attacks with more ease. If Linfel used Magic Energy alone, he could easily surpass 2500 points of score, something you wouldn't see below Level Five and within some top geniuses on the entire planet. 2500 would only become more commonly seen at Level Six.

However, when adding Soul Power to the mix, things became a lot more difficult. No doubt the Soul Power increased the strength of Linfel Magic Energy Abilities, but it also made it a lot harder to control. While using Soul Power, Linfel's score barely hit 1000 points. Of course, it was still a great score for a Level Three Familiar. In the end, it all depended on the situation.

Linfel's plan was to get used to Soul Power so he could use it as easily as he did Magic Energy alone.

"Okay, it is time to put what we learned into practice," Linfel spoke. "We are going to get a few contracts. But first, I've found the information about where we could get more cards. Let's see if we can increase our collection."
