Chapter 99: Two bodies
"Get out of here,"
"Ahhh!"
A man was thrown out of the moving carriage. Slumped on his ass, the man glared at the thug who had thrown him on the ground, "Who are you? What are you doing? I was the one who hired this carriage—"
The rest of the words that the man wanted to say came to a halt as Alton swiped his claws at his neck. The head of the man rolled on the ground with blood splattering all over the place.
"Now, Now," Ollie with a smile on his face said to Alton, "What do you think you are doing? You shouldn't do such a thing. If you go around murdering people like that then people will call the council on us."
"Its his fault for being so chatty," Alton dug his ear with his forefinger and spat on the corpse of the man lying on the ground. "I pulled him nicely, why did he have to yap like that?"
"You threw him on the ground."
"Exactly! I didn't cut his throat off from the start, thats count as something, doesn't it?" Alton rolled his eyes.
"Stop quarreling and get on," said Soel, he yawned and snapped his fingers in front of his mouth. "We have already wasted enough time as it is."
Ollie rolled his eyes but didn't retort and stepped inside the carriage. Alton followed behind him, while the carriage owner stared at the bunch of thugs who have taken over his carriage.
"but–"
"Do you want to say something, sonny?" Andres raised a brow as he showed off his long broad sword to the carriage owner.
"N..No."
"Then get off," Andres sneered. "Are you waiting for us to drag you down from the carriage as well, like him?"
He tipped his head to the body lying on the ground.
The carriage was the life and blood of the carriage owner but when he saw the large sword on Andres's back, the carriage owner dared not to refuse. He jumped down the carriage and watched helplessly as a bunch of thugs hijacked his carriage.
He thought of going back home and filing a complaint but before he could even change into his bird beastform, he felt something pierce his chest.
Puff!
Blood gushed out of his mouth as he looked down at the long tip that was sticking out of his chest, horrified the man turned and looked at the thug who had stabbed him from behind.
"Sorry, sonny," Andres had his tongue dangling out of his mouth as he jeered at the carriage driver. "Can't have you telling anyone that we were here. Don't worry, we will leave your body in a real good place."
"A bird bath. Hahahaha!"
Andres pulled out the sword and kicked the carriage owner to the side of the street before dumping it next to the trash can.
He then returned to the carriage and got on before sitting down.
While the others turned to look at him.
"So?" Soel asked. "What happened to the seal?"
"When have I taken a job and not finished it?" Andres asked back. He took out the black box that had 3D skulls carved on three sides. Each skull showed a different face of terror every time the box was moved.
Even though the entire thing was closed and wasn't playing any melody, the five men could still feel a sort of terror in their hearts.
Clyde's expression twisted. He looked at Doomsday with half terror and half excitement before saying,
"So this is Doomsday."
The thing was really worthy of Azazel's creation. It could ivoke a terror worse than their worst nightmares. And too with just its presence.
"Indeed," Andres leaned back on his seat while the carriage started driving away. "The real deal. Had a hard time getting rid of the seal but guess what? I got rid of it."
"Thats our leader for you!" Ollie clapped his hands while hooting loudly.
"Who would have thought though?" Soel yawned while looking at the music box. "This thing was once a simple music box owned by the third transcendental and now its a full fledged demonic tool."
"Thats not all," said Andres with an evil smile on his face. "This is not just a demonic tool. Its something worse than that, as long as the Doomsday melody is played, people will die a death that they fears the most. Imagine the chaos that it will ensue and once the people of this island dies in a mass murder–our names will be written down in the history! Just like Azazel!"
"Now my brothers, lets begin our mission!"
***
"Mass murder?" Levy's eyes widened in shock as he looked at Wistoria. "How did such a thing fall in their hands, I thought that the things related to Azazel were either destroyed or sealed by the Imperial family."
Wistoria glanced at him before saying, "You are forgettong something, Levy. These men were supposed to be in prison as well but they somehow broke through the prison and are now moving freely without rising any alarm."
Her expression was grim as she looked around the streets of the city, hoping to catch something amiss. A bunch of dark guild members were moving together, there was no way the city would be at peace.
"This is going to be a tough one," Levy sternly muttered. "A bunch of dark guild members making a move is bad enough but if they are carrying a weapon that terrifying, then I am afraid that the matter will be difficult for us to solve."
"I know—"
"I am telling you that these two bodies just appeared here!" A woman cried to the guards who were surrounding her inn. "I did not kill them and they are not a guest of my inn. You can take a look if you would like."
Her voice was filled with anxiety as she exclaimed.
Wistoria looked at Levy who looked back at her.
"Is this…"
"This is definitely the work of Andres. He is known to leave bodies behind every time he comes to a stop."
