Chapter 218: Appearance of a Grade-4 Beast

At once, the soldiers halted their attack and took a couple of steps back.

The Monkey King breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the soldiers stopping their attack.

He fell on his knee as he couldn't maintain his standing any longer. He was in so much pain that if he didn't find some rare fruits or flowers, the injuries would probably still kill him.

"You said you know of many rare resources, and you can make wine that boosts cultivation?" The voice asked.

"Yes. Yes. Please don't kill me."

"If what you're saying is the truth, we won't kill you."

"I'm telling the truth," he quickly added.

Just then, the tranquil grassland began to tremble. The surrounding trees began to shake vehemently.

The soldiers creased their brows and frowned. They felt a powerful aura pressing down on their bodies.

Suddenly, those with lower cultivation fell on their knees with beads of sweat on their faces.

Instantly, fear and panic appeared on their faces. What was happening?

Their prideful expressions were replaced with dread. Since they have pagoda bloodline, they have never felt this feeling until now.

From the depth of the forest, a colossal beast walked toward the grassland slowly.

Contrary to its slow pace, each of its steps covered hundreds of meters at once.

In the blink of an eye, the landscape at the edge of the grassland transformed, and a hulking figure emerged for all to witness.

Behold, the Bronze Elephant.

This was no ordinary pachyderm; it was a majestic creature of mythical proportions, a grade-4 beast that commanded attention and reverence.

Its massive frame dominated the surroundings, a living monument to strength and resilience.

The Bronze Elephant stood with an imposing presence, its skin adorned with a lustrous metallic sheen that glowed under the sunlight.

Every step it took resonated with power, sending tremors through the earth beneath its colossal weight.

Its tusks, formidable and gleaming, curved gracefully, adding an air of regality to the already majestic creature.

The eyes, deep and intelligent, reflected wisdom that seemed to surpass the understanding of any mere mortal.

As it surveyed the grassland with an air of noble authority, the atmosphere shifted, and a hushed awe enveloped everyone.

Right behind it was the Elusive Torment Rat. Its small eyes were filled with reverence and pride.

It knew with the presence of the Bronze Elephant, no matter what trick the human used, they would die under the powerful foot of the Bronze Elephant.

"Humans," resonated a powerful, aged voice from the majestic Bronze Elephant.

"It seems you have grown a bit under our mercy, and you dare think you can challenge our reign."

Each word carried the weight of centuries, and with them, a forceful pressure descended upon those who stood before the colossal creature.

The soldiers, once standing tall, now found themselves prostrated on the ground, their bodies bent under the overwhelming presence.

Veins protruded on their foreheads, and the once sturdy armor they adorned was now covered in a network of cracks, vulnerable and on the verge of shattering into pieces.

The authority and dominance of the Bronze Elephant were palpable, a reminder of the vast difference in power between man and the ancient beings of the Dreadshade forest.

The Monkey King saw the Bronze Elephant, and his face blossomed into a peaceful smile.

Finally, he was safe, and he wouldn't have to be a slave to the humans.

Just then, right from the back, a silhouette walked out from his hiding.

He was not dressed in armor. He was in the elder robe of the Celestial Heavenly Sect.

Under the mountainous pressure from the Bronze Elephant, he didn't seem to be affected by it.

He walked calmly toward the Bronze with both hands behind his back.

Every time he passed a soldier, the pressure on their bodies was removed at once.

Watching this, all three beasts were stunned. They were all stupefied for different reasons.

The Monkey King was stunned and worried about his life. He knew the person must be the leader of the army.

To him, his survival was looking grim. As for the rats, it was stunned, simply because it never believed an ordinary Foundation Building realm would be able to stand and walk under the pressure of a Grade-4 beast.

A Grade-4 beast was equivalent to a Golden Core stage.

A Grade-4 beast or Golden Core stage cultivator was the overlord of an entire region.

This region of the Dreadshade Forest was solely under the control of the Bronze Elephant with unfathomable power.

No beast or human dared behave wantonly in its presence.

However, everything was different today, as a mere Foundation Building expert challenged its authority.

Meanwhile, the Bronze Elephant only had one thought in its mind.

What kind of power was the human using to deflect its aura, and where did he get the pride and confidence to challenge him.

Stopping a couple of meters from the Bronze Elephant, Su Bolin cleared his throat and spoke.

"There are many speculations about a Grade-4 beast in the forest. But many didn't believe it until now."

His voice steady and calm. He was talking as if he was not facing a Grade-4 beast.

"My sect has a proposition for you?" he said.

"You humans have created a sect?!" The Bronze Elephant had a slight shock in its voice.

"Do you realize what that means for your human race?"

"We know." Su Bolin shrugged.

"My sect wants you to become our guardian beast. What do you think?"

Instantly, the surrounding space trembled vehemently, as if it wanted to shatter into pieces.

Various deep cracks appeared on the ground. Hundreds of ancient trees shattered into pieces.

The Monkey king and Elusive Torment Rat were sent flying from the shockwave that came from the Bronze Elephant.

The Bronze Elephant was enraged. When was the last time a mere human dared speak such humiliating words to him.

The metallic sheen on its body shone brighter, and it raised one of its feet up and stomped it down.

Boom!

The ground and a powerful earthquake spread everywhere.

The soldiers didn't think twice as they escaped for their lives.

Standing in the midst of the quake, Su Bolin said casually.

"It seems you're not going to accept our proposal." He sighed and said.

"Then you gave me no choice."
