Chapter 98: Another Week Later.
Ever since that day, a week had passed and renovation to the entire apartment had begun.
Kyle was glad this was underway because it was the last piece of his missing puzzle.
His nightclub was all set up; Kyle had set the launch for later that day with a whopping 50% discount for the first month.
He knew that this would upset the business revenue of his competitors but that much was to be expected.
It wasn't anything personal, it was simply business even though he knew this would most likely make him enemies.
He was ready to take that step, Kyle's wardrobe had completely changed.
He was no longer looking like a bum but people could tell with a single look that he was someone to prominence.
Ella had managed to secure a gig within his club but she had no idea he was the owner.
Kyle kept these things to himself but Isabella was proving to be invaluable.
She knew how to be discreet and this club could act as a good way for his artists to gain recognition.
Especially if he restricted the acts to artists signed directly under his Agency.
This would not only spread awareness but make it known to talents that signing under them guaranteed a fixed set of income unlike signing with a major credit industry.
Kyle still hasn't seen Calista but that was only due to her schedule however they spoke quite a lot.
He could tell that Calista was taken with him because the conversation was once tilted towards money had evolved to her simply talking about her day.
She told him everything that happened with Lucas Rossini and Kyle realized that this man might be a problem.
He might not be the most famous of Producers/Directors but there was no mistaking his talent. He was the ideal man for this work and any scene he added was for the good of the movie considering it would be on his resume.
Kyle viewed Calista differently when he saw that her body count was below 5, she wasn't ran through.
Even though she was only 21, in this day and age, those numbers were impressive, especially for a lady with her looks.
Kyle had lost all contact with Cassandra even though he got a strange call earlier that week but the person at the other end didn't say a word but he could hear the sound of a baby in the background.
Kyle didn't know what to think about this but didn't care too much. If she was having trouble with her marriage and needed an escape, he was more than willing to do so.
However, Kyle knew he needed the distraction to be more permanent.
If she wasn't happy in her marriage, he was going to take her away from her husband.
He didn't understand why his system was unsure about her relationship status but this meant that it must be complicated to some extent.
Kyle realized why he was so attached to her and the milk factor on her chest because, after a series of nightmares, Kyle was beginning to regain some of the memories he had repressed for so long.
Kyle knew everything he sought was behind that bloodied door and why his disgust for marriages existed in the first place. It was all behind that door.
He never could get past that door because he always woke up when the threat came.
This exacerbated his panic attacks but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.
He stopped avoiding Aiysha and consciously made an effort to stop viewing her the way he had been conditioned to by his primal instinct.
However, he began to notice something that he had never paid much attention to before.
Jones and Aiysha were slowly drifting apart, the public affection that they showed each other without shame once upon a time had slowly dissipated.
They tried to put up an act for their children but there was some tension there.
Kyle knew that it wasn't in his place to come between them or try to fix whatever might be broken.
That was something they had to do themselves but he didn't want the kids to be caught in the middle.
They weren't his responsibility regardless and he only did as much as Jones and Aiysha allowed.
A lot of stuff happened in the space of a week, Jane was getting a second job because their bills were beginning to back up.
She refused for Kyle to cover everything, this included clearing their student loans that helped them through school.
Kyle didn't understand why she did this, why she chose the harsher path when she could have everything she wanted if she just asked him.
He knew that Calista would have no problem demanding anything she wanted because Kyle had shown her what he could do for her financially.
But she wanted a sense of individuality and Kyle had no problem because it eliminated the spirit of complacency. She knew the value of money so she was more prone to be appreciative for the little things.
Kyle liked this about her even though he knew he would have to take on that responsibility eventually but his view regarding his harem had changed.
If he could monopolize beautiful women for himself, there was no need for him to screw them only once when he could keep them around to rotate as he deemed fit depending on his mood.
A menu exclusive to him, the time for his club unveiling was near, Kyle had spent over $1,000,000 to sponsor the promotion so they received nothing but the best.
This was why L. A had been buzzing and news got out about this opening, one more club to be degenerated in.
Kyle wore a blazer and that was all he needed to get ready for, he looked like an Italian mobster with how he was dressed but it had an air of elegance around it.
Kyle stepped out as the sky darkened, this was where things got interesting.
