Chapter 340: Bronze Statue (Fixed)
Collinson's face turned even paler. He was too terrified to even breathe due to the heat at his throat.
Collion trembled as he fixed his eyes on Tyrion. The other members of Crimson Tiger Institute took note of the situation and didn't dare approach.
The other spectators in the ruined stone hall clicked their tongues when they saw Tyrion take Collinson hostage. Truly, a ferocious individual. They never expected the two leaders of Crimson Tiger Institute to fall into Tyrion's hands.
Nyxa also put away her Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet as she flew to Tyrion's side. Her beautiful eyes stared at Collins, whose body trembled from anger and tension.
Tyrion coldly smiled at the expressions that ran through Collins's face. "It looks like you think that your brother's life is worthless compared to the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet."
Collinson trembled by the ruthless intention in that sentence. The members of Crimson Tiger Institute also looked at Collins. If he didn't make the exchange, then many of them might end up with cold hearts.
Collins only glared at Tyrion with deep loathing. This kid was still young, but his heart was extremely ruthless. If he didn't exchange the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet for his brother, then he might lose the hearts of Crimson Tiger Institute.
"Alright. I'll give you the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet! But, you must release him first!" Collins bit his teeth as those words were stifled out from the gap between his teeth.
"You're in no position to make those demands." Tyrion smiled. "Hand over the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet."
Collins's eyes turned bloodshot as he glared at Tyrion, before he finally made his decision. He reached out and made a motion as if to pull something out of thin air. The huge scarlet flood-dragon quickly shrank down and returned to its bracelet form before landing in Collins's palm.
Rustle.
Collins clutched the bracelet with a look of heartache in his eyes. But, ultimately, he still tossed it towards Tyrion.
Tyrion flicked his wrist out and pulled the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet into his hand. An intense Genetic energy coursed from his palm, through the rest of his body. In that instant, even Tyrion couldn't control it and cried out in admiration. Truly a High Rank Sacred Relic. It was many times stronger than a Middle Rank one.
"Here."
Tyrion passed it to Nyxa.
Nyxa gave him a surprised look — she didn't expect Tyrion to simply hand it to her. After all, he was the one who'd fought hard for it. Back in the Death Gate Academy's Sales Hall, something like this would be worth millions of Death points. That wasn't a small amount.
Nyxa looked as if she was struggling for a moment, then shook her head. "It's your spoil of battle. I can't take it." She knew that the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelets together formed a single Sacred Relic, but that one still belonged to Tyrion.
Tyrion smiled, shook his head, and tossed it to her anyways.
Nyxa panicked when she saw Tyrion toss it so casually and quickly dove to catch it with her diamond-like hands. Anger flared in her chest as she demanded, "What are you doing?!"
She was a beautiful woman, even though she was usually a little too cold. Tyrion was temporarily stunned by her upset expression. However, he quickly recovered and smiled. "Senior Nyxa, you're rather beautiful when you smile."
Nyxa's face turned red as she snorted and put the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet on her wrist. Her face returned back to its usual icy-cold form.
"I'll consider this a favor I owe you. When we return home from the mission, I'll give you the 1,500,000 Death points that I'm supposed to get."
Tyrion smiled, "No need."
"I don't like owing favors. If you don't want the points, then you should take this Arcanal Dragonized Bracelet back," Nyxa pressed.
Tyrion smiled and shrugged. Senior Nyxa could be quite cute when she was being stubborn. Pity, given how cold she normally was.
Collins's eyes nearly sprouted flames as he watched Tyrion flirt with Nyxa. "Are you still not going to let my brother go?!" Only on m v|le|mp|yr
"Alright."
In one swift move, Tyrion hauled Collinson to his feet and printed a palm on his back. The force of the palm sent Collinson flying out in an even sorrier state than he'd been before. His pale face turned even paler, if that was possible.
Collins caught his flying brother and immediately examined his pale face. His expression changed. "What did you do to him?"
"I put something inside his body. Don't worry, he won't die. He just won't be able to use his strength for half an hour."
Tyrion smiled and shrugged a very insincere apology. "Sorry, you guys have greater numbers. I was also worried that you might attack us after I let him go. Please forgive me."
Collins stared at Tyrion with dark eyes, then flashed him a bit of a ferocious smile. "Little piece of shit! Did you really think we'd let you walk away like this?"
That caught Tyrion's attention.
A rumbling of meterssteps sounded from outside the stone hall and everyone watched as a cluster of people rushed in like a tsunami. Some of them were members of Crimson Tiger Institute, though many others wore an entirely different uniform — all the members of this second group wore the same crest sewn onto their breast.
"It's the Nine Ultra Blade Institute!"
"Crimson Tiger Institute and Nine Ultra Blade Institute are allies. That kid is doomed. Sigh. It's as the saying goes: 'The older piece of ginger always bites harder than the younger piece.' Crimson Tiger Institute must have sent someone out for reinforcements."
Tyrion knitted his brows at the whispering as he watched two individuals separate themselves from the rest of the Nine Ultra Blade Institute — clearly the leaders and Quasi-Fiendgod Stage experts.
The two newcomers glanced around the stone hall and laughed. "Haha. Brother Collins, I rushed over immediately after I received your message."
Collins nodded his head. "I'll have to thank you two brothers." Then he looked at Tyrion with a fierce expression and laughed. "Little piece of shit. Let's see if you can still dance?"
Tyrion's expression turned cold as his black flames slowly spread over his body.
Nyxa clutched the Arcanal Dragonized Bracelets even harder and prepared to exert all her strength.
Ka cha.
The atmosphere in the stone hall could only be described as a state of pure hostility.
Suddenly, a strange sound rang throughout the room. Everyone frowned as they turned their eyes towards the source at the end of the stone hall.
Their faces changed.
Tyrion and Nyxa had also turned around and their pupils shrank at the sight before them. The mottled bronze statue was bursting with lights in the form of a complex array. A surge of frightening Energy wave rippled from the ancient bronze statue.
The bronze statue slowly opened its eyes and looked upon them with it's stone-dead eyes.
…
"RUMBLE!!!"!
A brilliant light rippled in strings over the mottled surface of the ancient bronze statue. It looked as if a complicated and cryptic Neuro-dimensional Matrix had been engraved on its surface.
Everyone in the stone hall was startled by the changes before them, and it took them a moment to recover from the bursts of astonishment that were evident in their eyes.
The bronze statue had come to life?
Tyrion watched the ancient bronze statue with a grave expression. The bronze statue itself finally opened its eyes; however, there was no emotion in those pits, even though a genetic light flickered.
The statue slowly lowered its head and looked around the crowded stone hall. An empty and emotionless voice echoed through the hall. "Death to those who agitate the Dragon Tomb!"
As the statue spoke, it reached out to take the end of one of the many toppled bronze pillars and swung it with a terrifying and mountain-moving force.
BANG! BANG!
Those who stood directly in the pillar's path were instantly ground into paste. Others who couldn't dodge in time were sent smashing into the walls, while spewing mouthfuls of fresh blood.
The statue's sudden explosion of energy shocked many experts and sent them retreating with wary expressions. This thing was basically a killing god.
Tyrion was also shocked by the statue. There was something off about the situation, but right now, they had to focus on evacuating from the chaos caused by the bronze statue.
Tyrion turned to Nyxa and said, "Prepare to retreat."
Nyxa lightly nodded.
The newly awakened bronze statue had already started its ruthless massacre of the stone hall's occupants. It marched forward, using the bronze pillar in its hands like weapon. Everyone struck by the weapon was left either dead or crippled.
Crimson Tiger Institute and Nine Ultra Blade Institute had the greatest numbers; therefore, they also suffered the greatest losses. Scores of people were turned into meat pulp with each swing of the bronze pillar.
"Brother Collins, what's going on with that bronze statue?" The Nine Ultra Blade Institute's leaders urgently asked with matching expressions. They'd only rushed here because they'd heard that there was a High Rank Sacred Relic. However, they hadn't even caught a glimpse of this High Rank Sacred Relic before they encountered this rampaging Bronze Guardian.
