Chapter 413 New Transfer Student

413  New Transfer Student

Suddenly, the sliding doors to the classroom were opened with a resounding bang. Entering the classroom, the voluptuous female professor walked up to the chalkboard and wrote a few words with a piece of chalk. She then turned around. "Everyone, quieten up," she announced in a loud voice. "Rather than start off with the lessons, I have something to tell you all."

"We have a new transfer student—a young man who got in through just his effort and hard work."

"???" "???" "???"

Everyone's eyes widened in surprise as they simultaneously shot their attention to the open door. They first saw a shoe, then the lower body that belonged to this shoe, and finally, they saw the entire appearance of this new transfer student. The girls' glossy eyes began to shine with immense interest, while the expressions of the guys curled up in envy.

"Be nice to him, and do your best to show him a welcoming environment."

Nobody was really listening to what the teacher was saying as they all focused on the handsome visage of the young man who just walked up to the front of the room. His hair was long and a dark crimson color, cascading over his back like a waterfall of blood. Moreover, his eyes were also red, but they did not blend in with his hair color. Rather, they worked together to accentuate his appearance. Other than that, every facial feature of his could be considered objectively handsome. However, this was not his true appearance—not even close.

Anabelle wasn't originally putting too much focus on the new transfer student, but when she glanced in his direction, her special eyesight activated. Her big, round eyes immediately widened in sheer shock as she saw straight through his handsome appearance. Yet, instead of seeing something inferior, she witnessed a sight that could only be described as breathtaking. In her eyes, he didn't even appear human anymore; he looked like a god who had descended to the human realm. Furthermore, his concealed aura…

'So powerful,' Anabelle thought. 'His strength is even greater than the Elders of my family… Can this actually be happening…?'

Even though Azmodeus was in the Half-Step Immortal Emperor Realm, his actual strength was in an entirely different league. If put into perspective, even a Grade 1 Immortal God would find themselves in dire straits if they went against him as he was. 'To have an appearance like that and possess such strength,' Anabelle thought in disbelief. 'Just who is this young man?'

With her special pair of immortal eyes, she could see the truth of any person and anything. This ability of hers was kept hidden from her parents and anyone else close to her. There was only one person who knew of her secret, and he was the Eldest Senior Brother of the Eternal Jade Sect—her master—Ling Chao. With this innate and mysterious ability of hers, she could throw the entire Eternal Jade Immortal Realm into disarray, so she told no one. But that didn't mean she didn't still use the ability, whether consciously or unconsciously, just like now.

Suddenly feeling something peer into his secrets without his permission, Azmodeus shot his gaze toward a violet-haired girl who was looking at him like he was a freak of nature. He was going to kill her out of habit right then and there, but for some reason, something inside him told him not to. This feeling was strange and originated not from himself, but he still decided to follow it. Not because he had a weak will, but because that feeling felt soothing—almost like a goddess of light was embracing him in her warmth.

After staying his hand, Azmodeus looked away from the pretty girl who had clearly learned something that she wasn't supposed to. Still, he couldn't let her go blabbering off to anyone, so he countered her sight ability with an abyssal technique he had picked up a while back. Upon seeing not an otherworldly handsome visage but a terrifying pair of piercing ant-like eyes in a realm shrouded in complete darkness, Anabelle deactivated the sight ability out of fright before shrinking into the back of her seat. She understood the message loud and clear.

"What is wrong with you, Anabelle?" asked Emma in a quiet whisper. "You look awfully pale."

Realizing that she was acting weird, Anabelle corrected her posture and cleared her expression. "I am doing fine; it's just that this new transfer student is—"

"He's so handsome, isn't he!?" Emma interrupted, already speaking like a devout fangirl. "If not for his young age, I might've actually suspected him to be the Azureflask Thief! But there's just no way he could be that powerful while being so young, so even if his hair color and appearance vaguely match the Thief's description, it just isn't true…"

"Yes," Anabelle agreed. "His age… it just doesn't match…"

Upon recalling all the strength contained within the body of a man no older than 23, her stomach curled. Even she, who was 24, only had a cultivation base in the Grade 2 Immortal Venerable. Furthermore, among her generation, she was considered a supreme genius, one who was even on par with the Headmaster and Immortal Realm's daughters. Yet, in front of this young man of untold mystery, she might as well have been considered hot garbage. This put her down a little, but when she heard the man in question speak up, all that self-loathing vanished without a trace.

"I hail from a small land very, very far away," Azmodeus said to start off his introduction. "None of you will know of the place, so I will not bother disclosing the name. However, even with my insignificant background, I hope to get along with everyone here, and maybe even ignite friendships that will last for many years to come," he finished with a bow before walking up to the seat the teacher was pointing at. Only then did everyone break the silence and react to what had just happened. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
