Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 425 Optimization

[Purchase : Long distance teleportation ]

[Purchase : Transmutation ]

[Purchase : Soul Transference ]

The notification sound for my purchases was satisfying. I had just bought all three available skills from Skill Store.

I also double-checked my combination skill window, and as expected, it had undergone a big upgrade.

Now, it could actually combine more skills at once and would show me all the available skills ready for combination.

With so many skills at my disposal, keeping track of them all was quite bothersome. If I were reading a novel about an MC as OP as me, I would hope that the author didn't list every single skill, as it would waste valuable word count and make for a tedious read.

Cognitive Overdrive : refers to the advanced capability of integrating various neurological processes to achieve optimal cognitive performance.

'I got smarter by a little bit and my senses became sharper ,' I pondered quietly.

Now, I even notice time passing more accurately. Before, I could sense about 0.05 seconds passing, but now it feels more like 0.01 seconds.

Even the slightest changes were now noticeable to me, thanks to my sharp senses.

Furthermore, I could use each of the four skills' active effects individually, just as before. Basically, this new skill functioned as a folder; previously, my skills were like separate files, but now they were all organized into one category.

Recognizing the positive impact, I quickly set out to explore other skills ready for combination.

Once I finished merging my skills, I invested my remaining skill points into Advanced Energy Projection.

This ability served as my ultimate defense against the time-wraith, so it was only logical to level it up to 400.

'Good,' I murmured, content with my progress.

With a total of 135+ Mind Power, including bonuses, I felt more confident in dealing with all my future enemies except for those Overpowered Time Wraiths.

However, I found myself poor again. The cost of skill points had escalated , now requiring thousands per skill. It was evident that I needed to complete another farming mission.

Thankfully, with my upgraded abilities, I felt safer about facing the Time Wraiths again.

This time, I knew I needed a solid plan. My goal was to make this attempt as effective as possible, so I needed to choose a good farming spot where I could kill… I mean dodge attacks more freely.

I checked my phone to get some news in the Internet however this place had no signal.

'It's time to put my long-distance teleportation to the test,' I chuckled to myself, recognizing that now was the moment to utilize it.

Using my advanced map tracker, I attempted to locate Yuki by referencing the marker I had placed on her. With that information in mind, I envisioned the distance and the precise location to which I intended to teleport.

Something like this might seem hard, but thanks to my Mind Computer and Advance Map Tracker, I now had a virtual globe in my mind.

As I began casting my skill, I felt the entire space around me vibrating intensely. I could literally see the space bending and my body vibrating in response.

Then, as the 15-second mark approached, my vision suddenly turned black. In that moment, I gained an eagle-eyed view of Yuki's mansion.

With only 15 seconds left to decide, I focused on pinpointing the exact spot where I wanted to teleport.

The moment everything was set up, I felt an immense force pulling me forward as if I were being sucked into a black hole.

In an instant, I was ejected to the exact location I had visualized, landing smoothly on the roof. But, I noticed that some parts of the roof beneath me were damaged, likely due to the after effects of my teleportation.

Unlike my quick teleportation, the energy and space disruption generated with each leap increased significantly based on the distance traveled.

This location was only 150 kilometers away, yet the impact was noticeable. I anticipated that traveling 1000 kilometers would result in even greater damage.

'I also feel a little bit sick, ' I muttered to myself, feeling a bit uncomfortable ..

Thankfully, with my current status, I quickly recovered from the nausea. I checked my body to ensure I hadn't lost any body parts; too many movies depict people missing limbs after teleportation, after all.

After confirming that I was still intact with no damage whatsoever, I flew towards Yuki's room to have a conversation with her.

As I stood beside her sleeping body, I marveled at the peaceful expression on her face.

It was hard to believe that this 18-year-old girl, who had once fled from an arranged marriage, was now the leader of all the shamans in Japan in just more than a week.

It was a testament to the advantages of having a godlike supporter like me.

With a hint of pride, I reflected on how my presence had helped transform even a seemingly talentless girl into a queen of her own country.

"What a lucky girl," I reached out, my fingers brushing lightly against her forehead, feeling the warmth of her skin beneath my touch.

Gently, I smoothed her hair, each strand soft against my skin as I tenderly cared for her.

"Master?" she murmured, her voice soft and hesitant, as she slowly opened her eyes and called out to me.

"I've completed my mission here. You're now the leader of all the shaman families in Japan," I stated.

She was taken aback by my declaration, surprised at how quickly I had accomplished it.

"What comes next?" she asked, rising from her bed and leaning against me for support.

I stopped for a moment, considering my choices.

"Just continue as you normally would. If I need you again, I'll talk to you," I replied.

With my long-distance teleportation abilities now in play, managing two countries simultaneously had become feasible. There was no need to provide her with long-term instructions; I could simply return whenever necessary.
