Novel's Extra: I Awakened The Strongest Physique From The Start

CHAPTER 61 - Zahara Nemeanor 1.

As said before, the student council was the face organization of Originveil Academy. Explore stories at empire

They were an organization, so they needed to have several people handling several positions, each responsible for a different set of duties.

There were eight positions in total, called the president, the vice president, the secretary, the treasurer, the public relations officer, the event coordinator, the disciplinary head, and the general affairs officer.

The names were changed to the council head, the second seat, the records keeper, the keeper of coins, the voice of the council, the master of ceremonies, the rule keeper, and the recourse manager by Alex, but it was something that happened when Alex joined the council; before that, only old names were used.

The duty of the council head was to oversee everything; they just needed to agree or disagree with the proposals presented by the second seat. Everything else was handled by the second seat.

Be it things related to money, events, rules, resources, or even the presentation of the council. Every single one of the major pillars of the council has to report to the second seat.

Yet, in the student council hall, in front of everyone, when Alex, the second seat of the council, was about to sit down after making sure that Lilia was comfortable, he was interrupted by someone.

"What kind of joke do you think the student council is?!"

For a second, he froze. It wasn't just him; everyone in the hall paused. Someone speaking in that manner to the second seat wasn't possible, that too in front of everyone. Only the council heads could do that, but right now, even they had their expressions stilled.

'Who the fuck...?'

This was the only question in all of their heads, as Alex's reputation was well known. He never gets out of his way to disturb someone; he would even let you get a free pass for pranks but never cross a certain line, or he would make you regret ever doing so.

The scene of Alex holding a bloodied guy by his hair, slapping his cheeks again and again, that too in front of almost every student in the academy, played in their minds. It was something that still sent shivers down their spine.

But their shock was momentary. Soon, they all just sighed and continued to do what they were doing.

"I wonder what kind of play he would come up with next time."

"What I want to know is who will be his partner next time."

"Oh yeah, he once did the same with the voice of the council."

"Yeah, she was left so embarrassed that she ran away with tears in her eyes."

"Dayum, something like that happened...?"

"Yeah, you were absent that day."

The hall became lively again, filled with whispers, everyone talking about Alex and his Shenanigans, completely ignoring the voice from before.

For a second, they had all forgotten that there was just one more person who would dare to raise their voice against Alex—a second seat. But the problem was that they were all too used to this event repeating.

Every morning, during the hall assembly, they would hear this same voice pointing at something wrong that Alex had done, trying to make him look bad, but the things this voice points out are never serious crimes, just like today.

"So, is there something new today, senior Theron?"

Alex, sitting on a throne—smaller than the council head's—next to Theron's, questioned as he relaxed on the seat.

He too ignored the voice from before. This act he did was just to cover up for his being late and to make it so that people wouldn't notice his emotional turmoil, or else he wasn't even in the mood to play games right now.

He was concerned right now, as he tried to call out to Sophie many times, wanting to see if she wanted to say something, only to fail. So, for now, he has decided to quickly handle the matters related to the student council and enter the dream space.

"Hah..."

Theron, however, just sighed at Alex's words. He didn't know that Alex was seriously asking that question. In his eyes, it looked like Alex was just trying to taunt the owner of the voice from before because his actions would definitely anger them.

Stomp-Stomp-Stomp!

And just like he had thought, with their feet heavily hitting the ground, someone moved toward Alex; the sound of them gritting their teeth could be heard as well.

"Alex Drakathor. You should respond when someone is asking you a question—!"

It was a girl with flowing red hair left loose, waving wildly like a lion's mane, fiery eyes blazing with anger, a thin body frame, modest breasts, and a beautiful contour, wearing a dress similar to Fenna, the female council head.

Her name is Zahara Nemeanor, the princess of the kingdom of lion demihumans called Simharians. They were a race prideful enough to not bow to the empire of the demihuman empire, being the only kingdom free of any empire's reigns.

Zahara had inherited that pride, so ignoring her was the last thing you would want to do in order to calm her down.

But the poor Zahara didn't know that Alex wasn't in the mood to play with her today, so just when she was about to reach Alex, her eyes flashing with arrogance, pride, and anger, she paused...

Boom!

Thud

"—Ghhhh!!"

The moment her voice paused and her eyes grew wide was the moment she found her on her knees, growling in pain, shocking everyone in the hall.

'What?!'

Even the council heads were alarmed, as Alex never did this. Every time a scenario like this played out, Alex would just let the girl get entangled in her own words, making her forget what she was trying to do, but today he didn't.

"You... Bastard!"

Zahara, brought to her knees, unable to move, glared at Alex with her eyes blazing with hatred, but her anger died down the moment she saw his eyes as cold as ice staring down at her.

Alex didn't care about what others thought. He tried to keep the mood of the hall cheery; he went through that embarrassing act to not let anyone know about his internal struggle, but there was a limit.

He couldn't entertain another girl when his love was silent all of a sudden. If Sophie was still speaking, even if just some words, Alex wouldn't have minded playing with Zahara for a bit, but not right now.

Sophie was way more important to him than this lion princess.

"Do not overstep your authority, Rule Keeper."

His cold words echoed through the hall, making everyone lower their heads, except Theron, Fenna, and Lilia. The three of them were just staring at him with a calm or concerned look.

Even Zahara had her head lowered the moment she heard Alex's voice. She couldn't believe her ears for a while, as this was the first time Alex seemed really angry at her.

No one in the hall had to think twice to know that Alex wasn't in a good mood. But still, being so hard on Zahara was a bit...

Sob-Sob

Soon, Zahara's sobs could be heard. No matter how fiery she was, she was still a child, and if someone you care about were to treat you like this, of course, you would feel bad.

"W-Why...?" She muttered between her sobs, her head still down as she didn't want anyone to see her face, but she continued, "Y-You never spoke to me like that... so why now...?"

It was a question that everyone in the hall wanted an answer to. Zahara did things like this every day, after all. Yet never once did Alex reply to her like this.

None of them knew that Alex was behaving like this due to his increasing anxiousness regarding Sophie's situation, and neither was Alex going to tell them anything related to it.

"I never objected to your actions, even though they were wrong, so you assumed that they were the right thing to do?"Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Alex, however, wasn't having any of it. Sophie still wasn't responding. That was his biggest concern right now. He didn't care how his words hurt Zahara. He would sort it out later if he saw a need for it.

But just then, Theron, who had realized that things had gone above fun and were now serious, interfered.

"Alex," he called out to Alex, looking into his eyes, "Let Zahara go."

His voice was serious, leaving no room for objection, making Alex stare at him for a while before he waved his hand with a sigh.

"I am sorry..." He turned toward Zahara, massaging his head as he spoke, but before he could complete his words, Zahara, who found her body moving again, dashed out of the hall with tears falling down her cheeks.

No one could see it as she had her arm covering it, but they could tell that she was crying.

But looking at the situation, they didn't know who the one on the right was.

The poor girl had just done what she does every day. How could she have known that Alex wasn't in a good mood?

And they couldn't blame Alex, as he was a living being as well; they can't expect him to be perfect—he can have hard times as well. If that was not enough, he made them all laugh even though he was clearly not in the situation to be able to do it.

Now, the hall was left in an awkward mood, with no one knowing what to do.
