Chapter 243: Meeting the Eternals, Training
Chapter 243: Meeting the Eternals, Training
Aleron swiftly arrived around a thousand kilometers away by teleporting and spending half of his Chakra energy.
Seeing the chaotic wilderness around him, Aleron was about to check out his current prowess by fighting a chaotic beast when he suddenly saw a familiar figure manifesting before him.
"Lavia," Aleron smiled.
Seeing Aleron, Lavia's eyes sparkled, "Wow, you are so handsome now."
Suddenly, more beings started appearing around him, maintaining several meters of distance from him while sizing him up.
"Genome pulse is flowing through his body."
"Marvelous. He is the one, I say! He is the one!"
One of them, a tall figure with glowing eyes, stepped forward slightly, gazing at Aleron with reverence. "Look at the aura surrounding him. It's practically overflowing with power. His transformation is... beyond anything we've seen."
"Brother, how about you become my champion? My boons would be of great help."
Another, a being with wings shimmering like silver, nodded in agreement. "The strength of his Chakra is immense, even after teleporting such a distance. Only someone of his caliber could achieve such feats with ease."
"I think you will find my boons much more lovely and helpful, how about you become my champion, friend?"
A shorter, more mysterious figure with shadowy tendrils murmured, "His presence... it bends the very fabric of reality. It's as though the universe itself acknowledges his potential."
"Young brother, given your grasp of space and time, you will allure to my boons more than others."
"Every step he takes reshapes the energy around him," said a woman adorned in silver and gold, her voice filled with admiration. "He commands the elements without even trying. Such control is beyond even the ancients."
"Hey, handsome, I think you will love my boons and benefits," she winked and added. "How about you become my champion?"
Aleron was dumbfounded.
"SHUT UP!!" Lavia shouted and created a dreamy transparent bubble around Aleron and herself.
"What's going on? Are they all Eternals like you?" Aleron blinked and asked as he looked around at their figures, exotic and powerful, each one different from the other.
"Yeah, they are. And they are eyeing you, humph. But you won't leave me, right?" Lavia said with glassy, puppy eyes.
"Hahaha, of course not," Aleron said with a laugh and grinned, "I am not one to change my decisions like that. Anyway, what's the deal with everyone coming to visit me?"
"Come on, open this bubble. We won't try to poach him anymore."
"Yeah, let's get to the main point."
Lavia glared at others and harrumphed before dissolving her bubble.
Shortly, the group began discussing.
"Aleron, do you know about the current ongoing scheme of the Proper Path Alliance?" "Yeah," Aleron nodded.
"Wait, what? You know already?"
"I mean, I don't know in detail, but they did some horrible things," Aleron's face turned icy. "I want to stop them and punish them."
"Let us fill you with the details first."
"They have already started targetting lower cosmos and, so far, destroyed over five hundred lower cosmos completely, sucking them dry and using all of the soul energy of population and genesis energy from the cosmos core to create a battery."
Aleron nodded, his expression somber, "I was informed by a friend who died at their hands that they made something akin to a battery with that act of destroying the entire lower cosmos."
"A cosmos will?" Lavia asked.
"Yes," Aleron sighed and nodded.
Another Eternal sighed and added, "As we speak, they are currently doing the same thing to other lower cosmos."
"You can't interfere to stop them, right?" Aleron frowned.
"Unfortunately, we can't stop them or use our powers freely like that. We are prisoners, and this Chaosverse is our prison. We can't go to any lower cosmos or upper cosmos, and our powers can't direct there."
"We aren't allowed to kill, but we can still pull pranks on people with our power. However, if a life is lost because of us, we immediately cease to exist. We were twenty Eternals at the start, but eight died because of interfering."
"So we don't do anything anymore, except for our main job, which is to accept someone as our Champion, help them evolve Bloodline into Genome Tree, and grant them our boons so they can fight in First Labyrinth of Multiverse Realm to make a path and save us."
"I see, what do they plan to do with those batteries?" Aleron asked while frowning. "It has to be something bad."
"Well, it's not bad for them, but for others."
"Indeed. They want to use those batteries to forcefully unleash a power of a high magnitude so they can bore a hole through to Multiverse Realm."
"They have already found the edge of the Chaosverse since we have been sending our
Champions to Multiverse for millions of years."
Aleron's lips twitched, his eyes flaring with anger," They can't defeat the damn First Labyrinth's Boss, so they want to do this?!"
"They killed uncountable people and spread so much suffering for this!" Aleron clenched his fists and took a deep breath. "I am confident of defeating the First Labyrinth...but even if I say it to them, they won't budge, I guess?"
"They have already started destroying the lower cosmos, so they won't stop midway," Lavia sighed.
"We had already given up, but you made me see some hope because of the strange power in you," she continued with a smile. "And I was right."
"But time is not on our side. I figure that they will destroy the remaining lower cosmos within
a year at most."
"And one more year to prepare for the medium to unleash all that power, which we think will bring mayhem in Upper Cosmos to prepare for that."
Aleron felt his soul sinking. "They have already started their domination, forcing various
clans and organizations to join them or meet their ends...."
"I-I have to do something. There's no time," Aleron felt agitation as he found the time frame
for their grand plan was much shorter than he expected!
Just two years!
"That's why all of us will help you," Lavia said, her eyes burning with flames of resolve.
The other Eternals also nodded, committed and determined.
"We will aid you and make you progress faster. We know about Chaosverse more than anyone
and you will become stronger faster than anyone!"
"Your body hasn't properly stabilized, Aleron. Here, I am granting you a talent rune for now.
Fight against the Chaotic Beasts of Transcendent rank with your physical prowess only, and
consolidate your new foundation."
Terramis, the Eternal of Earth and Stability, pointed his palm at Aleron. He was a tall
mountainous man with a muscled figure, a bare upper body with his geo-brown skin, and
wearing gem-adorned trousers.
"Talent rune?" Aleron raised his eyebrows as he looked at the mystical symbol approaching
him and entering his Heart.
Once it entered, Aleron started feeling calm and serene, his body appearing much more in
control.
"You will have to learn many things, but let's go with Terramis' training to make you use yourNôv(el)B\\jnn
Body Ki," Lavia nodded.
"Using Body Ki is basically utilizing your physical body to the maximum. Your physical
prowess will manifest outwardly, and you will be able to basically double your physical
attacks' power whenever you use Body Ki."
"I can feel the Body Ki in a small amount because of that Talent Rune, "Aleron nodded with a solemn expression, "What do I have to do?"
Another Eternal waved his hand and created a black portal, "Just fight against monsters in this area. They are all as strong as you physically or stronger. Of course, you can unseal a bit of your prowess slowly as you encounter stronger chaotic beasts."
"And you don't have to worry about your soul getting injured. I'll protect it. And once you are done with this training, we will bring you to a place where you can absorb the purest of soul essence and refine your soul to make it more powerful."
"Alright," Aleron nodded and entered the portal without hesitation.
...
As Aleron stepped through the portal, the chaotic wilderness expanded before him. He could feel the weight of the atmosphere, thick with wild, unrestrained energy. Around him, dark, twisted trees reached skyward, and the ground pulsed as if alive with dormant power. The air was humid, carrying the distant roars of beasts that stirred within the shadows. Suddenly, a large figure emerged.
A hulking creature, its body made of molten stone and crackling with electricity, lumbered
towards Aleron. The ground trembled beneath each of its steps. This was no ordinary beast- it radiated a chaotic energy that seemed to disrupt reality around it, flickering in and out of
view like a living nightmare.
Aleron rolled his shoulders, his body still adjusting to the Talent Rune from Terramis. He could feel the new power surging within him, his muscles humming with restrained energy. But this battle was about testing his physical prowess, not the overwhelming power he could command with his Chakra or other abilities.
With a deep breath, he launched himself at the creature, his body moving like lightning.
The creature swung its massive arm, but Aleron ducked beneath it, feeling the air shift violently as it missed him by inches. He twisted his body mid-dodge, slamming his fist into the creature's side. The impact sent shockwaves through the beast, cracking its molten hide.
The monster roared in fury, staggering back, but Aleron didn't relent. His body moved with practiced ease as he followed up with a powerful knee to the creature's chest, driving it back even further. His strikes were swift and precise, utilizing his enhanced martial prowess, each
punch carrying a heavy weight.
But then, the beast retaliated.
It roared and swung both arms at Aleron, forcing him to leap back. The creature's molten skin hardened, becoming even more resistant to damage. Lava-like cracks glowed from its chest as it charged at him with renewed fury.
"Time to test this Body Ki..." Aleron muttered.
Focusing inward, he activated his Body Ki for the first time. Instantly, he felt a surge of
strength flood his limbs. His body seemed lighter and stronger, his muscles bulging with raw power. The air around him crackled as his physical prowess doubled.
When the beast charged again, Aleron didn't dodge. Instead, he braced himself and met the
charge head-on. His fist collided with the creature's molten body, and this time, the force was devastating. The entire battlefield shook as the chaotic beast was sent flying through several trees, its body erupting in a burst of lava and stone. "Body Ki really does pack a punch," Aleron said, admiring his fist.
Before Aleron could relax, the ground began to shake. From all around, more chaotic beasts emerged—each one more twisted and monstrous than the last. Some had spiked armor, others were cloaked in shadows, and a few shimmered with unnatural light. Their roars
echoed through the wilderness, their hunger for battle clear.
"This is going to be fun."
He wasn't using Chakra energy or any other energies at all. Purely using his body to fight and
feel the impact at this level of prowess was a new and invigorating experience, which was bound to bring him fun.
